I remember it well
Like yesterday
A year ago
What can we say?
To make the hurt less
To dry so many tears
Only time will help
To ease the fears
And I for one
Will remember this day
And grieve for humanity
In my own way
I grieve for the lost
And those left behind
And for those
With murder in mind
I can only hope
That those in heaven
Will look down on us
On Septemebr the eleventh
And unite us all
In the fight for whats right
So never again
Will we feel the fright
Of terrorism
And all that it cost
To snuff out the life
Of those who were lost.
