"I love writing poetry because it allows me to express feelings, emotions and ideas. It also allows me to be cryptic and ambiguous, which in turn allows a reader more freedom to take something from it.
I also love the mechanics of structuring poetry, and finally, the challenge of getting one of the most important aspects of poetry right - the rhythm.
I prefer not to explain what my poetry is about unless asked. I prefer to trust that it will speak for itself, or that people can take whatever meaning they like from it. If asked about any of it though, I would be very happy to explain what it is about."
